DragonFly™ Outdoor Gunshot Sensor
Active Shooter Sensors
DragonFly™ Gunshot Sensor
Application
Description
Compact, wireless, self-contained, battery operated gunshot outdoor sensor executing threat versus non-threat validation determinations using energy waveform analysis algorithms.
Sensor is encapsulated within resonance chamber allowing flat wall, corner or pole mounting capability while providing a spherical detection coverage area up to ~70,685 sq/ft.
Threat validation data is wirelessly transmitted by sensor to the EAGL System Server via the EAGL Gateway. Data received by the EAGL System Server is processed further while initiating the appropriate preprogrammed automatic and autonomous Adaptive Response feature and process.
DragonFly™ LoRa and IoT Gunshot Sensor
Application
Description
Compact, wireless, self-contained, battery operated gunshot sensor executing threat versus non-threat validation analysis using energy waveform algorithms. Sensor contained within resonance chamber allowing flat wall, corner or pole mounting capability while providing an optimum spherical detection coverage area up to ~785,398 FT2. Application determines sensor communication options – LoRa or IoT.
Threat validation data is wirelessly transmitted by sensor to the EAGL System Server via internal Quectel. Sensor data received by the EAGL System Server is processed further while initiating the appropriate pre-programmed automatic and autonomous Adaptive Response feature and process.
Sensor also receives calibration data from the EAGL Server using similar communication processes and methods.

Bottom-Line Benefits of Gunshot Detection Systems
- Provide reliable area protection using IoT functionality without external or connectivity restrictions
- Reduce installation and maintenance costs using self-contained, wireless design
- Reduce cybersecurity risks using several encryption methods
- Promote scalability for changing protection needs
Unobstructed spherical detection coverage area can be as large as ~785,398 FT2. Two sensors could potentially protect a geographic area equivalent to a regulation size football field with sensor coverage overlap.
EAGL Technology has advanced technology improvements to include adaptations for other indoor or outdoor uses such as flood, traffic accident, and wearable applications.
